It would be to have as deep knowledge as possible of the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil on which the plantation is based, of the irrigation water (often of different origins: well, channel, run-off raft, ..) and of the climate and microclimate that affects us (rain regimes, temperature, relative humidity, …) knowing as well as possible all the limiting factors and the advantages that they can bring to production.

For this purpose, laboratory analysis data, real-time climate data (easily available in many cases through automatic agroclimatic stations accessible through the Internet) would be available, as well as the records made on the farm.
